However, after a long travel day, many guests prefer to skip the grocery stop entirely and have their groceries delivered directly to their Disney resort instead.

Despite your location, our tourist area healthy food stores are located closer to Universal Orlando but there are two great options!  These two stores are situated about a block away and located around the same intersection.

Whole Foods Market

Located in Phillips crossing at 8003 Turkey Lake Rd, Orlando, FL 32819

Amazon owns Whole Foods and is a relatively recognizable national chain.  Whole Foods Market offers natural organic produce, natural products, and allergy-friendly items.  Their prepared foods are top-notch, and they use only the finest ingredients.  Whole Foods is a bit more expensive, but folks that shop here truly enjoy their products.

Sprouts Farmer’s Market

Sprouts Farmers Market is similar to Whole Foods but offers more value in keeping with the natural and organic line of products.  You will be able to purchase some harder-to-find but popular items such as alternative milk, gluten-free baked goods, and organic vegetables not typically available in the average supermarket in Orlando. 

Sprouts is a great alternative to Whole Foods Market if you are looking to save a bit of money – so you have more to spend on Mickey Ice Cream Bars!

Publix Supermarket

Lakeside Village at 7880 Winter Garden Vineland Rd, Windermere, FL 34786

Here in Florida, our most popular and plentiful supermarket is Publix Supermarkets.  They are one of my favorite places to shop.  They are super clean and spotless, in my opinion.  The staff is super friendly and always willing to find what you need.  Their store brands are as good if not better than the name brand, and their produce is fantastic.

Walmart, Kissimmee

If you’re looking to save some money, try Walmart. Walmart is a national chain found in most areas of the United States. It offers low prices on most name brands. If you head to Walmart to do your shopping, please be prepared for lots of crowds. Since this is a tourist area, there are usually a lot of visitors shopping at Walmart at any given time. 

Also, when shopping, you need to consider alternatives as their stocking levels are not fantastic, and they are frequently out of items.    One benefit is that if you have Walmart+, you can order and have your groceries ready for pickup based on their availability.

Winn-Dixie

Lake Buena Vista, located at 11957 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32836

Winn-Dixie is a supermarket throughout the southern United States, and they are known for their excellent produce and meat counters. Prices at this supermarket are reasonable, and you can catch specials such as reduced prices for items on sale or buy-one-get-one offers.

They have been going through a company-wide remodeling, and the location nearest to Disney World was recently remodeled.

Target

3200 Rolling Oaks Blvd, Kissimmee, FL. 34787

Target is also an excellent option for budget shopping. They are just not as plentiful as Publix. Most of the Targets in the area are Super Targets, which means that they have both the standard department store offerings and a full grocery section.

Target is a great place to shop and learn more.

Which Grocery Stores Are Closest To My Disney World Resort?

There are numerous grocery stores near Disney World, but the Disney World property is vast, so the closest place to shop will depend on where you’re staying.

Grocery Stores Closest To Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Area Resorts

Staying on the southern end of Walt Disney World offers many amenities. Being close to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios (links) certainly has its benefits!  

This area offers some of the most unique and fun Walt Disney World Resorts.

• Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, or Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort

• Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

If you’re staying at any of these resorts, I recommend shopping at Publix Supermarket at Orange Lake Town Center, 14928 E Orange Lake Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34747.  

It is just off Highway 192 so near not only these southernmost  Disney Resorts, but everything that this end of Highway 192 offers.  

Grocery Stores Closest to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Areas

The Northern part of Walt Disney World is where the magic began!  Nearest to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, the resorts around these parks offer a glimpse into the history of Disney World and some escapes to other areas of our country, not much like Florida.

Your best bet for grocery shopping if you’re staying in this area would be Publix at Lakeside Village, located at 7880 Winter Garden Vineland Rd, Windermere, FL 34786.  This is the closest Publix to this area and a leader among the local stores.  You can see them from the parking lot if you’re there when the Magic Kingdom fireworks go off.
