Planning a surprise for a Disney Resort stay?
Before you order anything, there’s one thing you need to know—Disney has very specific rules about what they will and won’t accept.
Get it wrong, and your delivery might not make it.
I deliver to Disney Resorts almost every day, so I see exactly what works—and what causes problems.
The Most Important Rule
Nothing goes directly to your room.
All deliveries go through Bell Services or the Front Desk first.
From there:
- You can pick it up
- Or have it brought to your room (usually for a small fee)
👉 Pro tip: If you want to skip the fee, just grab it yourself—it’s quick and easy.
✅ What You CAN Send to Disney Resorts
🎁 Gift Baskets & Surprise Deliveries
Yes—these are absolutely allowed.
This is what I do every day, and it works great when done correctly.
A well-timed gift waiting at the resort is one of the easiest ways to make a trip feel extra special.
We offer a variety of ready-to-go gift options here!

🛒 Groceries
Grocery delivery is extremely popular—and very easy.
Think:
- Drinks
- Snacks
- Breakfast items
👉 Just be careful with cold items—Florida heat is no joke, so timing matters.

🌸 Flowers & Balloons
Both are allowed and make great surprises.
Just make sure you’re ordering from a vendor that knows how Disney deliveries work.
📦 Packages Shipped Ahead
You can ship items to your resort ahead of time.
Just make sure to include:
- “GUEST” before the name
- Arrival date
- Full resort name
Disney will usually hold packages for up to a week.
❌ What You CAN’T Send (or should avoid)
💊 Medication
These need to be received in person—Bell Services won’t hold them.
🎭 “From Mickey” Gifts
You can’t label gifts as being from Disney characters.
The item itself is fine—just make sure it’s clearly from a real person or business.
🎈 Room Decorating (Outside Vendors)
Disney has tightened this up.
👉 Delivery = OK
👉 In-room setup by outside vendors = generally not allowed
🍪 Unlicensed Food Vendors
Food must come from a licensed business.
Homemade or cottage vendors are no longer accepted at the resorts.
We focus on gifts and groceries that are easy for Disney to accept and simple for you to enjoy—no complications.
💡 A Few Quick Tips (This part matters)
- Timing is everything → aim for arrival day or just before
- Label everything clearly
- Work with vendors who know Disney
👉 That last one makes a huge difference.
🎯 The Bottom Line
Sending a gift or groceries to a Disney Resort is actually really easy—
as long as you know the rules.
Stick to:
- Gift baskets
- Groceries
- Flowers & balloons
Avoid:
- Alcohol deliveries without someone present
- Character-labeled gifts
- Unapproved vendors
If you want something waiting at your resort when you arrive, I’d be happy to help.
