Meet Cori Shifrin, a dedicated single mom residing in White Plains, NY, who wears multiple hats as a travel specialist and a home bakery owner. With ten years of experience in the travel industry, Cori found her calling in this profession through her love for planning family vacations and the guidance of a fellow travel advisor. Her passion for Disney destinations, especially Walt Disney World, shines through as she describes it as her “happy place,” providing therapeutic experiences for her and her family. She often makes frequent visits as a solo traveler. This is a valuable experience as she has many tips and tricks to help those she assists in solo travel! Having a daughter with high-functioning autism, she knows exactly how to help families with unique needs plan the perfect magical vacation!
When it comes to her favorite things to do in the Orlando area, the home of Magical Vacation Services, Cori doesn’t miss a chance to indulge in the musical fun of Dueling Piano Bars and Restaurants. The Boathouse (one of the best restaurants in Orlando!) and the musical charm of Jellyrolls’ Dueling Pianos Bar are among her favorites. She finds solace in the piano music, viewing it as therapy and cherishing her friendships with the piano players and their followers. Additionally, she enjoys the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot and the amazing Halloween Decorations all over the parks, particularly during the quieter end of August when she frequents the park.
Cori selected her wildcard question about what she enjoyed cooking; despite not enjoying cooking, Cori has found her prowess in baking, especially during the pandemic when she started her home baking business, Confections by Cori. Renowned for her delectable creations, including copycats of well-known bakery favorites, Cori’s treats have garnered praise for surpassing the originals in taste, with her rendition of a certain Disney Springs bakery treat being a highlight for her customers.
